  Sutra Recitation
Daily recitation of excerpts from the Lotus Sutra is one of the most essential religious practices in which Rissho Kosei-kai members engage. They read them aloud each morning and evening before the Buddhist altars in their homes or at the churches.

Hoza: Circle of Compassion
One of the most important of Rissho Kosei-kai's religious activities is a space of mindful listening and compassionate reflection known as hoza. The members of a hoza group usually sit together in a circle, creating a warm, intimate atmosphere for open discussion. It is a sacred space where we share our joys and struggles, listen with compassion, and discover the Buddha's wisdom in everyday life. Through each person's story, everyone has the opportunity to reflect, learn, and take another step on the path of spiritual growth.
